June 24, 2009, Ottawa, Canada: Real-time tracking firm Waypoint Information Technology Inc. has announced the release of version 3.2 of its mobile asset tracking hosted service - Panorama™ Tracker.

Panorama™ Tracker is a scalable, easy-to-use, hosted web service that enables operators of large private or municipal fleets to improve productivity and reduce operating costs by providing secure, remote access to real-time GPS vehicle and driver information as well as providing route optimization, geofencing, event management and report generation. The service can be configured and private-labeled to suit the customers' needs.

Fleet operators are focused on business processes and improving productivity. They want to know where their mobile assets are located at all times. The 3.2 version of Panorama incorporates these businesses processes with an improved map interface with simplified design and terms and a find nearest tool which locates the closet vehicle in the fleet.

Advanced geofencing notifications have reduced the service delivery window. Customers are now informed when their goods are going to be delivered via email and text messages.

Driver behaviour is also paramount in day-to-day operations and the 3.2 version of Panorama enables fleet operators to access reports on speeding, idling and harsh braking.

One click on the map allows for fast address lookup ; scroll-wheel map navigation has been designed to simplify navigation and give operators the tools they need to manage their business

Panorama™ Tracker 3.2 supports several new GSM and satellite devices including the BoxTracker, Enfora MMT and Spider versions and the AxTracker T3.
