Waypoint Panorama™ is an online hosted spatial information system, provided as a subscription service. It can be readily customized so that virtually any business customer can quickly gain access to an interactive map and data processing environment.
Waypoint Panorama™ is designed to deliver web mapping applications
Waypoint Panorama™ can be used to publish map data, share spatial information within your organization, run online spatial analytics, or track assets
Your specific business processes can be supported, your information can be uploaded or downloaded, and messages and notifications are sent automatically
Whether you are looking for a platform to publish scientific spatial data, tracking a busy commercial fleet of aircraft, or sharing signal strength coverage maps of cellular networks, the Waypoint Panorama™ system can be quickly configured as your main source of spatial business intelligence
Industry standard OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) compliant connectivity to other web map servers and external databases (yours or others) enables your application to access geo-spatial data across the web and serve it from one central location
Waypoint Panorama™ provides:
A sophisticated yet lightweight Flash™-based map client, with no requirement for large client downloads, providing easy Internet access from any browser, with no need to register your own web site
Unprecedented and precise control over spatial data, using Waypoint's SuperLayer™ Architecture that groups related map layers into “SuperLayers”, and allows any layer or SuperLayer to be turned on or off, or made partially transparent on-the-fly, facilitating multi-layer thematic analysis
Ability for users to upload their own map data into a Custom SuperLayer™ that is sandwiched between Panorama’s Map SuperLayer (detailed roads, rivers, place names, and points of interest) and Imagery SuperLayer (detailed satellite, elevation, photo and associated imagery)
An Interactive SuperLayer that allows objects to be created and displayed on-the-fly, and can display objects from external databases. Graphic objects of their attributes can be selected, moved or edited onscreen, enabling powerful multi-user collaboration. For each object, hyperlinks to multimedia content can be established (such as pictures, documents or movies)
Access to North American address geocoding, in which the system finds the latitude and longitude associated with an address
Surface analysis functions for point query, cross sections, and area analysis
Query and select capabilities, with associated reporting and graphing
Multi-terabyte capable GIS relational database for storage of information associated with fixed or mobile assets
Easy customization of specific thematic displays, and proximity and polygon overlay analysis for trade area comparisons or natural science investigations
A dedicated node of input processors running on a Microsoft .NET™ platform which can host analysis applications such as simple input and display of remotely-collected field data, on-the-fly interpolation or trend analysis of uploaded point data (producing grid layers), thematic aggregation of logged points, or sophisticated surface analysis of very large hosted map files
The ability to add your corporate logos and branding to the application interface
Waypoint Panorama™ Components
Auto-processing of point information – tracking device data, field readings, or recorders – stored to database and ready for map output (also talk to us about auto-contouring and gridding of data spooled to us from your logging devices...).
Upload your corporate mapping data as point files or in .Tab or .Shp format. Set up connections to remote web-map servers to access other spatial information from your application.
Database system designed for high volume applications, concurrency and extensibility with proven stability and reliability.
The Administration Console allows Waypoint Panorama™ to have many different levels of users with appropriate permissions and access levels. Reporting, analysis, set-up and configuration tools are provided. Custom applications are easily accessed through this panel.
Fast and powerful map serving engine that delivers content reliably and effectively.
An extensive library of map data covering millions of miles of attributed roads, points of interest, detailed hydrography, topo mapping, elevation models, Landsat imagery, and much more.
The light Flash-based client makes mapping possible from any web browser. With no large application software downloads, the map viewer is rich with features and interactivity commonly found only in standalone applications.
