Web Map Services are a convenient and efficient way to add raster data map layers to your local web mapping applications. Our WMS servers are able to handle huge amounts of raster and vector data, quickly extract just the portion you need, and send it back to your client application in .png, .jpg, or other common formats.
Our WMS capabilities allow users to create customized maps, combining several layers of data and back end database queries. Additionally, Waypoint's expanding support of WFS (Web Feature Service) functions supports many spatial analysis operations that were previously unavailable in a web based environment, may be requested. Results can be delivered through XML (eXtended Markup Language) or other custom mechanisms.
